Adult Elul Retreat
Friday, August 25 – Saturday, August 26
Ralston White Retreat Center, Mill Valley
This year's topic: Changing the World from the Inside Out - Connecting Our Spiritual Lives with Our Work in the World
Join us for an opportunity to connect, rejuvenate, and learn together over a Shabbat in the redwoods of Mill Valley with all of the Rodef Sholom clergy. Taking time away for self-reflection before the High Holy Days during the month of Elul is a longstanding tradition. This year more than ever we might need a break from the events of the world and the news cycle to explroe the questions that can set us up for a new year of balance and wellbeing. Some questions we will be exploring together:
- How are mindfulness and personal growth connecdted to our work in the world?
- How are the worlds of social change and spirituality connected?
- How do we sustain energy and hope over time?
- How do we effectively utilize anger and frustration?
Let’s prepare for the Days of Awe together through learning, music, hiking, meditation, great food and friendship. The cost is $180 per person and space is limited. Scholarships are available upon request. RSVP to Hagar at [email protected].
