The period before Rosh Hashanah, which in the Jewish calendar begins with Tisha B'Av, winds its way through the weeks of consolation, the month of Elul, and concludes with S'lichot. These weeks are intended to be a rich and fruitful time for drawing us into deeper relationship with compassion and awareness. No matter what has befallen each one of us in the past year, this period of time gives us an opportunity to reflect on our lives, awaken more deeply to ourselves, and notice the world anew. Using a variety of Jewish and Buddhist meditation appraoches, this course will help you look deeply into your own life. The course will incorporate mindfulness meditation, prayer, chant, and texty study as we explore the ways the sacred wisdom  of the High Holy Days can help us awaken to our daily lives. We will record this course for those who are unable to attend in person.
