Marin Jewish Community Scholar-in-Residence Weekend with Rabbi David Ingber
Jewish Spirituality and Mindfulness: A Deep Dive
Friday, April 20 -- Sunday, April 22
Raised Modern Orthodox in New York, Rabbi David studied at Yeshiva University, Beit Midrash L'Torah, Yeshivat Chaim Berlin, and Yeshivat Chovovei Torah Rabbinical School. He also studied philosophy, psychology and religion at New York University. Rabbi David was ordained in 2004 by Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, founder of Renewal Judaism. After two years as rabbi-in-residence at the Elat Chayim Spiritual Retreat Center, Rabbi David began Romemu with a monthly service on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in March of 2006. He invited others who were looking for an accessible place to join him in the practice of a compassionate Jewish life. In 2008, Romemu became a full-time congregation committed to powerful prayer and transformative spiritual practices.
