2018 REAL Speaker Series

REAL Mental Health Initiative's Third Annual Speaker Series

REAL conversations about mental health and mental illness, this year focusing on maintaining mental health and wellness throughout your lifespan.

The Middle Place with Kelly Corrigan
Tuesday, March 27, 7:00 pm, Sanctuary
At some time in our lives, we will all be impacted by the illness or aging of someone close to us. Through her poignant personal story of caring for her father through three bouts of cancer, her own fight with Stage III breast cancer, and her daughter's meningitis, Corrigan will share about the experience of living in what she has described as the Middle Place, "the sliver of time when parenthood and childhood overlap." Corrigan will discuss common caregiving issues and provide strategies honed from experience, as well as how to balance your own life while managing the care of another.

Kelly Corrigan is the author of back-to-back New York Times bestselling books, Glitter and Glue and The Middle Place.
