Join us for an eye-opening evening with Dr. Tracey Gendron, acclaimed gerontologist and author of Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias and How to End It.

In dialogue with congregant Dr. Riva Nelson, Tracey will delve into the pervasive issue of ageism—how it infiltrates our society, influences our perceptions, and impacts our lives. Drawing from personal experiences and extensive research, she will challenge our preconceived notions about aging and offer insights into embracing elderhood as a time of renewed meaning and purpose.

Dr. Gendron is the Chair of the Department of Gerontology and Executive Director of the Virginia Center on Aging at Virginia Commonwealth University. With nearly 30 years of experience as a grant-funded researcher, she is an internationally recognized gerontologist and author.

Riva Nelson is a retired clinical psychologist and Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF. She has also been a Rodef Sholom congregant for over 65 years.
