Join us for our annual Pride Shabbat service to kick off Pride month here in the Bay Area. Services will include liturgical additions, musical celebration, and special readings for Pride.
We'll start with wine and a nosh at 5:45 pm, followed by Shabbat services at 6:15 pm.
Join Rodef Sholom in celebrating 20 years of spirit, talent and dedication from Director of Synagogue Engagement Moji Javid and Facilties Coordinator/Assistant to the Executive Director Deanna Sumski.
Friday, April 27, 6:15 pm
Please join us for REAL Shabbat, the kick-off for our month-long celebration Mental Health Awareness Month - this year focusing on Serenity Shabbat. Serenity Shabbat is a celebration of recovery, incorporating creative and original music, personal stories, as well as the spiritual wisdom of the 12-step programs and the Jewish tradition.
All are welcome to our Saturday Shabbat services. They are followed by a community kiddush that the congregation is always welcome to attend. Most Shabbat services include b'nai mitvah, which we view as a community event.
Bring your favorite menorah (and candles!) from home to light during Chanukah Shabbat services, and fill our sanctuary with light, joy and music. While you're at it, bring a clean, warm jacket or raincoat for us to distribute to our REST (winter shleter) guests, and/or a new toy for the San Rafael Santa Cops to distribute to kids in need. Come fill our sanctuary with light and joy and music!
Please note that while this service falls on the 3rd Friday of the month, the service will begin at 6:15 (not 7:30) pm.
