Simchat Torah

5:30 pm Adult learning | 6:00 pm Pizza dinner* | 6:30 pm Services, dancing, and blessing of the children
Come early and enlighten your eyes with a little Torah, then celebrate with dancing! After taking all the chairs out of our sanctuary to create a huge dance floor, our very own Rodef Sholom musicians will provide racuous and energetic music for dancing with our Torahs. This joyous holiday is one of the highlights of the Jewish calendar. We invite all families to bring your children and receive a special blessing.

Guest cantor Rita  Glassman will join Cantor David Margules to sing songs of renewal and new beginnings composed by Cantor Rita at this special musical program. S'lichot continues as we change the Torah mantels, make Havdallah, and hear the sound of the shofar. As a great teacher once taught us, t'shuvah can happen in an instant. May we make the journey together in peace and good health for 5779.

REAL Serenity Shabbat

Please join us for REAL Shabbat, the kick-off for our month-long celebration Mental Health Awareness Month - this year focusing on Serenity Shabbat. Serenity Shabbat is a celebration of recovery, incorporating creative and original music, personal stories, as well as the spiritual wisdom of the 12-step programs and the Jewish tradition.

 

2nd Night Seder

Starts at 4:00 pm* in the Social Hall
The second night seder is one of our most treasured evenings of the year. Join Rabbi Elana Rosen-Brown, Cantor David Margules and many of our own Rodef Sholom musicians as they host a beautiful, meaningful and musical seder.
