The music of Irving Berlin, Kurt Weil, Sigmund Romberg, and stars in the Jewish music world from the 1800s to present day filled the sanctuary on Sunday, February 11. Cantor David, Rabbi Cantor Elana Rosen-Brown, and Rabbi Lara took the vocals, backed by talented musicians
Daniel Lockert–piano, Fred Ross-Perry–guitar and vocals, Amy Friedricks–bass, Amanda Hahn–flute, Jessie Ivry–cello, and Mike Spinrad–percussion.
With song and spoken work, the New Colossus paid tribute to the Jewish immigrants who have contributed to the rich tapestry of American music.
Special thanks go to Russ and Joni Pratt for their generosity in making The New Colossus possible.
